In December 2021, Serge Ferrari took a new step in its CSR strategy, “environment” section, by signing a green electricity contract (representing approximately 10% of its French consumption). The Serge Ferrari Group has signed its first Green CPPA (Corporate Power Purchase Agreement) with the energy producer Voltalia, LCL and 9 other companies in the group, including Air France, Paprec, Gerflor and Bonduelle.

The Green CPPA provides for a multi-buyer scheme that promotes economies of scale by pooling the needs of partner companies. The project should lead to the construction of a 56-megawatt photovoltaic power plant in the south of France by 2022. Voltalia will be responsible for the construction and operation of the future plant. In order to limit the environmental impact of this project, it is designed to allow for dual activity and will also provide shelter for cattle.

This contract ensures the continuity of the group’s mission, namely “Acting now to better build tomorrow” and meets the group’s CSR policy, which aims to combine economic performance and prosperity while respecting the planetary limits.
With this project, Serge Ferrari is meeting its CSR commitments through three points:

•    human, by proposing support for local development through additional income and support for an agricultural activity,
•    environmental, allowing companies to benefit from decarbonated and local energy,
•    sustainable innovation, with a multi-partner set-up that is unique in Europe.

This contract ensures the continuity of the group’s mission, “Act now to build a better tomorrow” and meets the Group’s CSR policy which aims at combining economic performance and prosperity while respecting the planetary limits.
