Serge Ferrari equipped the new Coventry City Football Club facility with Flexlight Perform 832 S2 creating an optimized atmosphere of well-being

Rubb designed a super structure of 47.5m wide x 67m long and 12.9m apex dedicated to sport.
The concept was to be able to provide a state-of-the-art custom designed facility for the Coventry City Football Academy and the local community to train undercover all year round. The Rubb structure is designed to accommodate a FIFA standard 60m x 40m football pitch with a run-off perimeter.

Extended durability and excellent natural light transmission

For a high level of player experience and lower operating cost, the Rubb structure had been designed to maximize natural light transmission. To achieve this ambitious goal, Rubb decided to use Serge Ferrari high performance membrane Flexlight Perform 832 S2 on the roof and cladding.

Benefits of Flexlight Perform 832 S2

  • naturally illuminates the playing area
  • supports the lighting needs in the evenings thanks to the high light reflection of the internal white PVC roof
  • stays white and brilliant in UK's harsh climate

Thanks to the experience of Serge Ferrari and their high quality membrane, we were able to achieve an amazing result. Every day, our customer sees  the advantages of the highly transluscent membrane in terms of low operating cost as well as higher user experience. With Flexlight Perfom 832 S2, natural day light is easily able to penetrate through the roof to illuminate the playing area, saving on lighting costs during the day.
