Serge Ferrari has introduced to the North American market its latest innovation in boat and equipment cover fabrics – Stamoid® Smart 1. This lightweight material, only 8.2 oz/sqyd, is 60% more collapsible than standard boat and equipment cover materials, making installation and removal of covers easier as well as taking up less storage space. Stamoid Smart 1 is 100% waterproof; the water beads on the surface, so shaking the fabric removes the water quickly.  With a silicone coating on one side, the surface is very slick making it difficult for dirt, debris and pollution to adhere. Stamoid Smart 1 is non-staining and easily cleaned with non-aggressive cleaners such as soap and water, and compatible with the most common disinfectants.

Sold through TriVantage, Stamoid Smart 1 is available in 5 colors and in 98.4 inch wide rolls. The white color is also available through Bainbridge, Manart Hirsch, and Keyston Bros.

Stamoid Smart 1 is ideal for any marine applications where a highly collapsible, waterproof and cleanable cover material is beneficial: boat dingy, rigging covers, console covers, seat covers, etc. Stamoid Smart 1 has also been tested and found compatible with the most common cleaners and disinfectants used by healthcare facilities (list available), enabling the material to be used for medical equipment covers, food cart covers, privacy drapes, and storage bags, to name a few.
