Weaving Process Engineer

A few words from… Mathilde

I studied at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs Sud Alsace in Mulhouse, where I specialized in technical textiles. I later moved to the Isère region to begin my career in the textile industry. In 2019, I joined the Serge Ferrari Group as a textile process engineer, with a mission focused on weaving machines.

Today, I am the Weaving Process & Methods Manager. Together with my team, we support production operators to help them optimize their work. Our role is to keep production standards and procedures up to date and to improve them whenever necessary.

We are also involved in equipment-related projects, with the objectives of enhancing safety, workstation ergonomics, as well as quality and productivity.

In my job, being organized and meticulous is key to successfully carrying out the different trials. Listening skills are equally important to understand the challenges encountered on the production floor and to provide appropriate solutions.

Teamwork plays a central role in my daily activity, which requires close collaboration with multiple departments across the company.

What motivates me most is the opportunity to improve what already exists. I genuinely enjoy collaborative work built around a shared challenge—conducting trials, whether they succeed or not, and ultimately finding solutions that are both effective and accepted by everyone.

A piece of advice for anyone looking to join Serge Ferrari Group? Be yourself! Beyond technical skills, I believe the most important thing is to value and bring forward your human qualities.
