ABOUT

Close to the historic center of Budapest, in the heart of the city’s 13th district, stands the new Agora Tower, which rises to almost 65 meters above the ground and has a total of 36,000 m² spread over no less than 16 floors. In addition to extensive coworking spaces, the tower is designed to house the offices of the Raiffeisen bank, as well as those of the Stada group, one of the German pharmaceutical giants.

The Agora Tower was commissioned by HB Reavis, a real estate development company, which acted as project manager. The company called on the services of Art Front Hungary for the interior design of the German group’s offices, in order to give a concrete expression to its desire to offer its employees a balanced, healthy and inspiring work environment.

Interior design as a way to put people at the center of their environment

The interior design was largely inspired by the location and environment of the tower itself in central Budapest. The human parameter was also at the center of Art Front Hungary’s thinking, with the development of the idea of ‘human sustainability’ emphasized in the design of the work spaces. The materialization of this dual approach includes the incorporation of lush vegetation in each space and the installation of felt ceilings to ensure acoustic comfort. The heart of the building is delimited by a series of meeting rooms and open offices, surrounded by a promenade marked by alternating individual and collective open spaces.

Soltis Touch as a response to the management of light flows

But it is the light that is the challenge of the office design project. Indeed, the location of the AGORA tower allows the occupants to enjoy unobstructed views of the city of Budapest and to benefit from a significant amount of natural light thanks to its many bay windows. To control this contribution, Art Front Hungary chose Serge Ferrari Soltis Touch fabrics in 1% and 5%. As the four sides of the tower do not benefit from the same luminosity in relation to the general orientation of the building, the interior architects opted for several coefficients of opening of the fabric in order to adapt to the differences in luminosity: hence the Soltis Touch 1% for better control of glare in the most exposed spaces 5% for more natural light and transparency where the luminosity is less intense.

Soltis Touch for a more comfortable working environment

Interior roller blinds equipped with Soltis Touch perfectly protect office occupants and provide them with optimal visual comfort for working on a screen. In addition to light, Soltis Touch will also filter heat to maintain a stable and pleasant temperature even during the hottest periods of the year. Finally, Soltis Touch, thanks to its sound absorption properties, contributes to the improvement of acoustic comfort in work spaces, favoring greater productivity and well-being.
