ABOUT

Last September, our customer Epic Shelters experienced their newest stage roof, the ‘Es Vedra’, featuring Serge Ferrari Flexlight 6002 at Grand Prix Zandvoort.

The organisers of the Dutch Grand Prix 2021 at Zandvoort required a large shelter for their visitors at the campsite so they could enjoy food/drinks without getting wet or stay out of the sun.
“To build this one-of-a-kind rooftop we decided to use Serge Ferrari Flexlight 6002 (taupe colour), as it is a very strong material and excellent quality.” Expressed by Max at Epic Shelters. The total surface of the shelter is 20 meters in width and 45 meters long. It is a huge construction and is a real eye catcher at the event!

A rooftop for all circumstances

Under an Epic shelter the air can circulate as it has only a rooftop and is not enclosed on the sides. Max explains: “With the circumstances nowadays with Covid-19, our shelters are very interesting for event organisations.

To build this new ‘Es Vedra’ you need few materials, the main one and most important is the Serge Ferrari Flexlight 6002. Alongside that, you have wooden and steel poles. You first lay down the sail on the ground to see where it will come and then you put the steel pins in the ground. You have to use a loader for this. After that you put all wooden poles at the outside up and after that you drive the steel poles in the middle up with two loaders. When the whole thing is up you tighten the shelter by pulling on the rattles. After that the shelter is ready to use! Thanks to Serge Ferrari the Flexlight 6002, it is a very strong structure resisting up to wind force 9.
