Mission

Serge Ferrari Group is a leading international player in the design, manufacturing and distribution of innovative composite materials.

As part of the development of its Group Legal function, we are looking for a Group Legal Counsel & Legal Business Partner to support management teams and operational teams in an international and multi-entity environment.
This is a transversal and operational legal position, combining direct legal advice, support for corporate and business operations, and coordination of external legal advisors.

You will act as a trusted legal advisor for the entire Group, helping stakeholders identify legal risks, make informed decisions and move their projects forward.

You will rely on your own expertise where appropriate and engage external legal advisors when the complexity, nature or international dimension of the matter requires specialized expertise.

Activities and responsibilities

Legal Advice & Business Partner

  • Provide pragmatic legal advice to management and operational teams.
  • Identify and assess legal risks and provide clear recommendations.
  • Get involved upstream of projects and decision-making processes.
  • Gradually build trusted relationships with the Group’s stakeholders.

Corporate Law & International Operations

  • Ensure the legal monitoring of entities and their governance.
  • Coordinate legal matters involving several countries or jurisdictions.
  • Support acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, establishment or closure of entities and other exceptional corporate transactions.

Contracts & Operational Legal Support

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial, industrial and corporate agreements.
  • Provide direct legal support on the day-to-day issues faced by operational teams.

Legal Risks & Compliance

  • Contribute to the management of legal risks, compliance, business ethics, data protection and regulatory matters.
  • Contribute to the gradual development of Group legal policies, processes and standards.

External Legal Advisors

  • Identify, select, brief, coordinate and challenge law firms and specialized legal advisors.
  • Translate their analyses into clear and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Monitor key deliverables, deadlines and costs.

Professional background

  • Master’s degree in Business Law, DJCE or equivalent legal education.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience, ideally gained in a business law firm and/or in-house within a mid-sized company (ETI) or an international Group.
  • Experience in an international and multi-entity environment.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate and contract law.
  • Experience in M&A, restructurings, establishment/closure of entities or other complex corporate transactions would be a strong asset.
  • Significant experience working with external legal advisors.
  • Fluent English (C1/C2) is essential.

Beyond your technical expertise, you are pragmatic, business-oriented, hands-on and comfortable working transversally without direct hierarchical authority.

You are able to analyse a situation, provide an initial level of legal advice, recognize when specialized expertise is required, and turn legal analysis into a practical solution for the business.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL

After 12 months, Group stakeholders should naturally involve you upstream of their projects and decisions whenever a legal question arises.

You will have built your credibility and legitimacy through the quality of your advice, your pragmatism and your ability to help teams find practical solutions.

Your success will be measured by your ability to become a trusted legal partner for the entire Group.
