The Allianz Riviera: an architectural jewel in the service of sport

ABOUT

Also known as the Stade de Nice, it was inaugurated in 2013 and has a seating capacity of 36,178, mainly hosting OGC Nice soccer matches.

Designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the Allianz Riviera is distinguished by its wave-shaped facade of 14,000 aluminum panels, which evokes the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding hills. The stadium also features a translucent Tenseo Advanced 1002 S2 roof (12,000 m²) to optimize natural lighting.

A technological showcase

The Allianz Riviera is equipped with cutting-edge technology to provide an optimal experience for spectators and athletes alike. In addition to soccer matches, the Allianz Riviera also hosts concerts, shows and other events. In particular, the stadium was the venue for several Euro 2016 matches.
