Embracing innovation: renovating the Berlin Olympic Stadium
ABOUT
With around 76,000 seats, the Berlin Olympic Stadium is one of the largest stadiums in Germany. The special feature of this construction project was that it was listed as a historical monument. The renowned architectural firms gmp Architekten and sbp Schlaich Bergermann Partner led the project, while HIGHTEX GmbH was responsible for the installation.
GF 7000 and GFM21 fiberglass membranes were chosen for the textile roof, offering high light permeability. The innovative design and modern implementation promise to raise the stadium experience to a new level for spectators and athletes alike.
