Serge Ferrari Group contributed to the development of a new range of stadium seating by Bluecube Seating: the Bluecube Sports Line Pro. This collection has recently been installed in the stands of Shell Energy Stadium in Houston.
A new generation of seating designed for the most demanding environments
Founded in 2003, Bluecube Seating is a British company specializing in the design, manufacture and installation of seating solutions for sports and cultural venues, including stadiums, arenas, performance venues and educational institutions. With design, user comfort and flexibility at the heart of its approach, the company works on projects worldwide, developing seating solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each venue, whether fixed or retractable.
As sports venues continue to enhance the spectator experience while ensuring the durability and performance of their facilities, the British company has developed a new range of stadium seating: Sports Line Pro. This collection has been specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of these environments, combining durability, aesthetics and resistance to intensive use.
Shell Energy Stadium in Houston: Putting innovation into practice
This innovation has notably been introduced at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston. With a seating capacity of 22,000 and architecture designed by Populous, the stadium is one of the city’s most iconic sports venues. In a region where climatic conditions put outdoor facilities to the test, spectator comfort and long-lasting performance are key priorities. The seating upgrade project is fully aligned with these objectives.
To equip this new generation of seats, Bluecube incorporated a technical fabric supplied by Serge Ferrari Group. Selected for its resistance to intensive use, UV exposure, moisture and changing weather conditions, the material combines lightness, dimensional stability and easy maintenance. It also provides excellent comfort while maintaining its aesthetic and mechanical properties season after season. This project demonstrates how flexible materials can meet high performance requirements in particularly demanding environments.
By contributing its textile technology to this project, Serge Ferrari Group supports Bluecube’s innovation and once again demonstrates the versatility of its solutions across a wide range of applications, enhancing performance, durability and user experience.
