Serge Ferrari Opens First Brazilian Showroom

Serge Ferrari Open House - Showroom Brazil
Private Event Welcomes Some of the Best in Brazil’s Architecture and Design Community

Serge Ferrari, a global leader in flexible composite material technology, recently opened a new showroom in Brazil in an effort to further support the architectural, design, and construction community in South America’s largest economy. Located on historic Normandia Street in São Paulo, Brazil’s primary economic hub, the brand new showroom gives architects, specifiers, and manufacturers a place to get first-hand experience with Serge Ferrari products, prototypes, and host meetings between design teams. In addition, the showroom also serves as offices for the members of Serge Ferrari’s Brazilian team.

To commemorate the opening, Serge Ferrari held a special, private event on October 2nd sponsored by Projeto Magazine. Dozens of highly reputable architectural firms and customers were represented at the event. Françoise Fournier, Market Manager for Tensile Buildings and Sport Facilities at Serge Ferrari’s corporate office in France, welcomed attendees to the space with a brief speech along side Sérgio Coelho, GCP Architects, and Aníbal Coutinho, CDCA Architects—both of whom were instrumental in the construction and design of 2014 FIFA World Cup stadiums. Other notable attendees included: Ruy Pauletti, a highly respected professor at the University of São Paulo who specializes in tensile structures; Miriam Sayeg of SBP, an engineering and design partner of Serge Ferrari; Rodrigo Dezotti, our responsible for the Serge Ferrari Brazilian operation; and Jules Duguay, the recently appointed VP of Serge Ferrari Americas.

“The Brazilian market is filled with immense opportunity anchored by the creativity of the world-class architectural and design community both here in São Paulo and across the country and South America,” said Duguay. “This showroom will be an important resource for our team’s operations here as they look to grow upon the fantastic results they’ve already produced like the Arena Pantanal in Cuiabá and Arena Corinthians in São Paulo.”

The Brazilian showroom, located at 92, Normandia St. near the Congonhas Airport, displays various product solutions for facades, acoustic panels, roller blinds, and furniture as well as samples, catalogues, and high quality project photography. The showroom is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. BRT for the public.
